Marlin Marine Firefighting
A ship with a flame coming out of it. Marine firefighting services

Marine firefighting, a profession in it's own!

Marine firefighting

In addition to the North Sea, the Netherlands has numerous ports, rivers, canals and lakes. It is therefore almost self-evident that one of these waters is located in a fire service catchment area. Hundreds of thousands of tons of cargo are transported across these waters every year, often involving dangerous substances. Fortunately, transporting these cargoes almost always goes without an incident. But when one occurs on board and the ship is in your catchment area, you suddenly face a huge challenge with various risks.

Marine firefighting remains an uncommon and specialist task that demands different knowledge and insights from the firefighters. Marlin Marine Firefighting has been active for years in various safety regions, training institutes and companies with providing theoretical and practical training in the field of marine firefighting. Marlin Marine Firefighting has also tailor-made various programs for specialist teams such as MIRG (Maritime Incident Response Group) and ERT (Emergency Response Teams), but also for ship crews in the Netherlands and abroad.
